  Setting up Microsoft Outlook on your PC

  1. Open Outook - select "File - Options"
  2. Select: "New"
  3. Select: "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" - then "next >"
  4. On the next screen titled "Auto Account Setup, DO NOT fill in Your Name or email address, instead:
  5. Tick the box: "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" - then
  6. Select "next"
  7. Select "Internet Mail" - then "next"
  8. See example on Right - replace
    • against 'Your Name' replace 'Secretary' with YOUR appointment
    • against 'Email Address', insert YOUR club email address eg This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.'
    • against 'User Name' insert your club email address
  9. Password: rotary1959
  10. click on "Test Account Settings
  11. You should then see "Congratulations!" - if not, check for typos & try again
  12. Select "Finish"

You should receive a 'test email' 

To Set up Your Own Signature Block 

(Below is for recent Outlook versions. If not found look for 'Options - Mail Format')

  1. Right-click-[Save] this image on your PC (image needs to be about 150 to 225 px wide)

  2. In Outlook, select 'File - Options - Mail - Signatures'
  3. Select 'New' - Type a name for it - e.g. 'My Rotary Signature' - save: [OK]
  4. Copy & Paste the following into the 'Email Signature' editing window
  5. Edit to suit (Use font and colour selectors above the window)

 6. Next: Place cursor below the text, select the little 'insert image' icon (next to 'business card' icon) - find your logo and [Insert]
 7. See 'Choose your defaut signature' - Save [OK]

To Send an Email using your Club Signature AND to show it comes FROM your Club Email

  1. In Outlook, create a New email in the usual way
  2. Top-left, just below the 'SEND' button look for 'Account' - click the little down arrow and select your club email account
  3. To add your new signature at the bottom of your email - top menu - select 'Insert - Signature' and select the one you want
