AdvayeeHelping a Potential Engineer

A recent restaurant night was also the prize giving event for the winners of our YSIA (Youth Science and Innovation Awards). President Malcolm Braid presented the prize for the best overall project to Advayee Ramesh from Willoughby Girls High School. Advayee created an ingenious way of folding materials to enhance their structural strength. A potential engineer we wonder?

The prize?: a GoPro

So satisfying being with ordinary people having fun doing amazing things!

About Us

What is Rotary? 30 sec video View video

The Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai is a warm and welcoming club which encourages service to the community and fellowship among its members. We participate in regular restaurant and movie evenings together and enjoy listening to speakers who cover a wide range of topics.

Projects in which we are involved range from:

  • supporting local schools in various ways
  • providing solar power to schools in Uganda and Fiji
  • recognising local businesses and their employees who go that 'extra mile'
  • supporting Lifeline with their vital services to Save Lives.

Whatever your passion, you will be able to direct your skills to helping others.

To find out more about us come to one of our regular meetings, or attend Gordon Markets and talk to one of our club members personally.
